We all go through life wanting and needing and finding happiness in things that we think matter. Cancer changes all of that. I remember sitting in the waiting room at RPA  - Sydney Cancer Centre one day with my son last year. I looked over and saw a young lady, scarf on, eyebrows gone , thin and frail. She was teary but smiling , she looked at her mother and they looked at each-other with huge smiles. I caught her mother's eye made a thumbs up gesture and she nodded and smiled. It was simple. This young lady had been given news that was better than anything else in this life. She was in remission and her battle, although not over was being won. That is what life is all about. I hope she still fights today to win her battle with her Cancer. She was given HOPE that day and her dream to live a full  life was becoming closer to a reality.
